   Carol Service

Polish Carol Singers singing  Lulajze, jezuniu, lulajze, lulaj.

On the 20th Dec 2004 the parish came together to start preparing for the Chirstmas season. Children from St. James the Great PrimarySchool, the choir and the congregation all sang together.

Many of the hymns were in different languages which made this serivce special compared to all the rest.

Carols were sung in:

Italian            Tu Scendi dalle stelle

Polish            Lulajze, jezuniu, lulajze, lulaj.

Igbo/Swahili  Angels we have heard on high

Vietnamese Jingle Bells

Ghanaian      O Come All Ye Faithful

English Traditional Carols were also sugn including:

Silent Night

We Three Kings of Orient are

Coventry Carol

O Come All Ye Faithful

To end the service Fr. Tom finished with a blessing and thanked all the children and teachers for putting all the hard work into a great service which was held. Mulled wine (for those walking!) and mince pies were available after in the Church Hall.
